Hey, Folks – Even though there were no show, this has been a cranker of a month.
First off, I am beginning recruitment of advanced review copy (ARC) readers for book 3. Basically, volunteers get a PDF copy of book 3 before it comes out at no cost. I ask each reader (I cannot obligate) for a review. If you haven’t read books 1 or 2, we’ll work something out.
With book 3’s planned release of January, I’ll be aiming to distribute the ARC of book 3 in November to give you folks a good 40-60 days to read it. I’m starting this conversation now, so that 1) there’s time to recruit enough reviewers and 2) give folks time to read books 1 and 2 if they haven’t already.
I’ll have a signup form out in a few days, but for now, just hit me back on email, social media, what have you.
Right, so with that, progress on book 3 has a new version of Luke’s map of the ambush at Mernan. My editor tells me that the text of the fight is a little harder to follow, so I’m hoping that the map clears that up.
Besides that, I have been adjudicating my editor’s edits. To date, I have adjudicated the edits on ~97067 words and have 28750 left of the core content of book 3.
Besides that, I built and hung some shelves in my son’s room. He’s started to move his completed lego projects there. He’s taller than me, so he didn’t need a stool to reach the top shelf.
I’m beginning a new journey in professional development.
I’m starting to learn to code in Python. I haven’t coded since high school with C+.
I tried studying for the CompTIA A+ certification last year, but I was on a time crunch and ended up burning out. I am trying to take this skill build at a pace I can manage amidst the various challenges and timelines I have before me.
